Student should be happy and confident to work with children, read them and support them with reading.

Expected Pupil Outcomes

Reading levels will improve Pupil will become more confident in suing a range of strategies to help with their reading.

Expected Student Tutor Outcomes

Student will understand what paired reading is. Student will become more confident in supporting children with their reading

Extra Information

Students will read to pupils 1-1 or in a small group. Student will be trained in paired reading and will use these strategies to support children with their reading

Tutoring in Schools is a programme that places Ulster University student tutors in a primary, secondary or special school.

The programme is open to all Ulster students who wish to enhance their student experience and strengthen their skillsets.
