Classroom assistance plus Photoshop introduction project. Aims: This project aims to give children in Limavady High School extra support in the classroom with an assistant from outside the school who has a good knowledge of media and ICT to provide the students and the teacher with support within the classroom. By the end of the project it is hoped that the students will have completed an introductory project for photoshop giving them important skills for GCSE. The project also aims to provide the teacher with extra support and the student with extra experience in the teaching field.

Student Skills

We require an individual with somewhat extensive knowledge of photoshop software along with other software’s including word, PowerPoint, excel and database software. The student should have patience and be able to deal with scenarios when under pressure e.g. should a class become disruptive. They should be approachable and should be able to explain tasks and instructions in a clear manner.

Expected Pupil Outcomes

The pupils especially those in year 10 will gain valuable skills in photoshop which they will need for GCSE and the other classes will be given valuable advice from the student assistant who will use their knowledge and share it with the school and our students.

Expected Student Tutor Outcomes

We hope that the student can gain important experience from this project in which can be applied in any capacity and that the experience provides insight into the teaching world.
