Student Skills

Irish Language student. GCSE Mathematics A*, A, B. A-Level Mathematics A*, A, B, C. Students with a strong background in Irish Language and a Mathematical based subject with an interest in helping children gain success at GCSE Maths.

Expected Pupil Outcomes

Pupils will be given the opportunity to improve their confidence in GCSE Maths through additional support within the classroom, small group guided activities and 1 to 1 sessions with the student tutors.

Expected Student Tutor Outcomes

Students will have the opportunity to share their knowledge / skills with pupils in a classroom environment. Students will gain experience of working in secondary sector education with children working at GCSE level. It will be a valuable experience for potential teachers in interacting with other teachers and with pupils. Students will enhance their transferable skills such as their learning, personal (oral/written communication), self-confidence and interpersonal skills.

Extra Information

This project is only available to Final Year BA (Hons.) Irish Language students.

The programme is open to all Ulster students who wish to enhance their student experience and strengthen their skillsets.
