Student Skills

Irish Language student. GCSE Technology & Design A*, A, B, C and/or A-Level Technology & Design A*, A, B, C. Students with a strong background in Irish Language and a Technology & Design based subject with an interest in helping children gain success at GCSE Technology & Design.

Expected Pupil Outcomes

Pupils will be given the opportunity to improve their confidence in GCSE Technology & Design through additional support within the classroom, small group guided activities and 1 to 1 sessions with the student tutors.

Expected Student Tutor Outcomes

Students will have the opportunity to share their knowledge / skills with pupils in a classroom environment. Students will gain experience of working in secondary sector education with children working at GCSE level. It will be a valuable experience for potential teachers in interacting with other teachers and with pupils. Students will enhance their transferable skills such as their learning, personal (oral/written communication), self-confidence and interpersonal skills.

This project is only available to Final Year BA (Hons.) Irish Language students.
