Student Skills

Student should have good communication skills, be enthusiastic and able to relate to young children. He/she should be responsible, flexible and able to follow instructions.

Expected Pupil Outcomes

Pupils will develop spoken language skills. They will develop early reading and phonic skills and have confidence in reading.

Expected Student Tutor Outcomes

Tutor will gain experience in working as part of a team. They will develop skills in working with young children and teaching reading and phonic skills.

Extra Information

Tutors will work under the guidance of teachers at all times. Activities for the children will be provided by the teachers.

The programme is open to all Ulster students who wish to enhance their student experience and strengthen their skillsets.
