Small group Mathematics GCSE and support in KS3 - We aim to improve the Mathematic skills of some of our weaker pupils through the use targeted support and one to one tuition. KS4 - We aim to improve the educational outcomes of a targeted group of underachievers in Maths. We will use a Signature Project style approach – working with small groups on exam technique to improve final outcomes for those pupils.

Primary teaching Secondary Mathematics

Expected Pupil Outcomes

To develop pupil’s skills and confidence in using mathematics in both KS3 and KS4. Provide targeted one to one tuition and support for highlighted pupils who may be underachieving or struggling to meet their potential.

Expected Student Tutor Outcomes

They will gain experience of working one on one with pupils who are struggling in Mathematics. There will be the opportunity to observe teachers and assist within the classroom setting.

Tutoring in Schools is a programme that places Ulster University student tutors in a primary, secondary or special school.

The programme is open to all Ulster students who wish to enhance their student experience and strengthen their skillsets.
