Student Skills

English. Any discipline really, as long as the person has a good enough standard of English and can take time to understand where pupils are going wrong and can help them to improve.

Expected Pupil Outcomes

Pupils will have an enhanced learning experience with a new tutor, someone who can connect with them and help them pass this essential subject, so that they can progress with their chosen career path.

Expected Student Tutor Outcomes

Student tutors will see first hand the barriers that prevent pupils from passing their English exams, they will gain an understanding of how different pupils learn in different ways, they will experience the sense of personal satisfaction that comes from helping pupils pass their English, especially those pupils who lack self belief. English is such a crucial subject to progression along a chosen career path that to help pupils gain a pass grade could genuinely change their life aspirations.

Extra Information

To work within the classroom as well as small groups of pupils, from 2/3 pupils up. To troubleshoot problem areas, helping pupils to understand where they are going wrong. To give them confidence and belief that they can pass their English exams.
