Student Skills

Open to Irish speaking students of any subject/discipline.

Expected Pupil Outcomes

Increased enthusiasm and awareness of Irish as a living language. Encouragement of primary children to choose Irish as one of their languages at post primary. The student tutor is encouraged to use their own subject/discipline as the medium for enthusing students. The more widely students hear Irish being used, the better.

Expected Student Tutor Outcomes

Experience in motivating and challenging students, and in organising and accompanying trips to feeder primaries. Experience of Irish in contexts beyond the Irish classroom.

Extra Information

We are very happy to work with the student tutor in planning and maximising the period of time with us.
